He is a changed man now. He has expunged his criminal record as best as he can.
He wants to join the armed services, any service that will take him.
He knows they will have access to his criminal record no matter if it is expunged. With 2 felonies (none violent) 1 possession of a weapon in jail facilities. 2 possession with intend to sell.
He has had no contact with police nor has he broken any law for the last 9 years.
I don't want to crap on his dream but I told him he is not going to have a chance.
If there is any body who seriously knows (like a recruiter) please let me know so I can tell him............he's screwed!! lol jk not funny but please let me know.

The best thing for him to do is sit down with a recruiter and lay everything out. Only THEN will he know for sure.
Good luck for your friend!

Have your Friend go in and talk to a recruiter. I don't know what the rules are now. I do know that he probably won't get any high security jobs. But with Army and Marines getting ready to enlarge they might take him.

His past is a problem. You may have luck talking to your local Army recruiter who (may) be willing to help your friend.
