The IRS has scheduled my income tax return for tomorrow. Will they inform me if they were going to take it for a defaulted student loan of my husband's before we got married?

Even though I was informed of my scheduled direct deposit? Would they tell me I am getting the return on Friday and then take it away?

Call 1-800-829-1040 or look on the web at www.irs.gov and go to the wheres my refund section. They will tell you exactly how much they plan to deposit on Friday.
Call 1-800-304-3107 to check if they have a flag on your refund
you will need both yours and your husbands social security number.
