Garlic-- fresh crushed on pasta-- & drink water w/ fresh lemon in it! Drink LOTS of water! The garlic has antibiotic properties- will help the infection- it is not as quick as a pill -- but it will work... & won't cause other problems that antibiotics do.. STAY AWAY FROM SUGAR!! It weakens your immune system (you may use artificial sweetner)

Try a nasal spray, usually saline will do the trick. Also eat very spicy foods and/or garlic (chopped raw in a teaspoon of honey), and drink hot tea, Gypsy Cold Care is a great respiratory tea, the aroma clears you up pretty good as well as the herbal mixture, you can find it at any health food store. Smelling peppermint / eucalyptus / tea tree / spearmint oils are good for unclogging your sinuses. Always blow out or cough up whatever may be in your nose or throat...better out than in. Try an expectorant, such as Mucinex, and a nasal decongestant. If your condition worsens or lasts much longer I would seek medical attention. Goldenseal is also helpful in preventing reoccurring infections. Oh and stay away from milk products, they cause the production of mucus to grow more frequent than necessary.

To be honest, the best way to clear up sinus infection is getting an antibiotic from your doctor. That will take the least time to treat it!
However, if visiting your doctor is not something you want to do, try humidified air and vicks vapor rub these two have always seem to help me when I have problems with sinuses.
Hope this helps!

Hi, good question,
Sorry to hear you're not having fun. Sinusitis is very unpleasant.
Firstly you should see your doctor to make sure the diagnosis is correct.
If the diagnosis is confirmed you may need antibiotics. Indication for antibiotics include severe symptoms, purulent discharge lasting more than 7 days or persistent other symptoms.
High-dose amoxicillin or co-amoxyclav are good first line choices. People who are penicillin-allergic should have erythromycin.
Hope this helps.

I get those from time to time. I don't know of any remedy. I usually have to bite the bullet and go to the doctor. After a day of anti-biotics I feel much better. Just make sure to finish the whole cycle.

Antibiotics are the best. but if you can't get to a doctor - double your water intake daily, drink lots of tea, use a humidifier if you have one, hold your head over a pot of steaming water. blow your nose and cough it out as much as you can. the only things you can do besides taking an antibiotic to kill the infection are try to loosen the mucus with steam and by staying super hydrated and try to get it out of your body. get lots of rest too - don't tire yourself out. but if you are sick for more than 10 days you really should go to a dr or clinic because the infection can spread.

Take Sudafed to dry out the nasal passages. But if that does not work you really should see a doctor and get on antibiotics.
My brother-in-law just let one go and is swelled up his entire face got in is gums and he was off work for several days.
The next time you feel like you are starting to get one start taking Sudafed ASAP and sometimes you can prevent them for flaring up.
Good luck.

Try some Tylenol Sinus first. If it doesn't get better in a couple of days, go see a doctor.

Hello,
The best way is to use natural remedies. For more information you can contact me. You don't want to use drugs because bacteria and viruses mutate and the drugs eventually become useless.

I would say off hand that you may need to see a Doctor. I used to take a natural vitamin C with rose hips. It would open my nose and I would get fewer infections.
