Theres a girl in my class who has multiple scrosis (ms) and is in a wheelchair, she is grose looking and i dont wanna catch multiple scrosis is it contagous

MS a chronic, inflammatory disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS). MS can cause a variety of symptoms, including changes in sensation, visual problems, muscle weakness, depression, difficulties with coordination and speech, severe fatigue, and pain. Although many patients are largely unaffected by their disease, MS can cause impaired mobility and disability in more severe cases.
It is an auto immune disease, that essentially the body attacks itself. Auto immune diseases can run in families, but this one is not contagious.
Maybe you should do some of your own research and learn a little about the disease. You may be a little more sympathetic to what this courageous girl is going through.

MS is not contagious, but have a little heart there. It's an attacking on the mylein sheath of your nerves so that they short circuit. Its more likely to occur in southern people who lived there past 15 months after birth. Hope that this helps.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease. Women more than twice as likely to develop MS as men. MS can cause loss of balance, impaired speech, extreme fatigue, double vision and paralysis. Death is what awaits you after all this. Canadians have one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis in the world.
It ISN'T contagious. But compassion may be.

No. it is not contagious, but her having the disease and being in a wheelchair is probably extrememly hard for her. Instead of calling her gross why don't you try being a friend and getting to know her better.

MS is not contagous..And you need to learn what real beauty is about and this girl is not gross she has an illness...Beauty is what is in the heart and what is really gross is a person who is ungy on the inside.

No it is not contagious. Be nice to her, she may not have long to live. Their life span is not very long. Some people can live to be about 30. But don't worry, its something your born with that one of your parents passes thru the gene pool.

No. It's an autoimmune disease, meaning it's caused by the sufferer's own immune system. There's nothing to catch.

no it is not contagious.....it couldn't hurt to be more sensitive!!! This person is very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain I can't believe you would say all these mean things about her you should be ashamed of yourself

no it is not contagious. It is a genetic disease. It gets passed down by your parents, although I am not sure about the details.
