ME AND MY FRIEND ARE DOING A PROJECT ON MIGRATION AND WE NEED LOTS OF INFORMATION. wHATS YOUR OPINION ON MIGRATION IN YOUR COUNTRY.... ANY GOOD WEBSITE OR ANYONE DO AN ONLINE INTERVIEW OR WOULD SHARE AN EXPERIENCE OF RACISM DUE TO BEING A DIFFERENT NATIONALITY... TANX WE WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT ... REALLY PLZ...

migration of people to and from ireland or within eu,opinions?

My opinion is that freedom of movement is a good thing, but that migrants give up a lot when they leave their country, and have to put up with a lot in their new country; this is more so the more difference there is between the two cultures. Look how Irish people were disrespected when they were immigrants in UK, and people said the same kind of things about religion that they say now about Muslims, but now that there are more 'exotic' migrants with us, the Irish are considered to be "like us".

Migrants are human beings like the rest of us. people in the UK moan about Poles coming here, and never think about all the Brits living in Spain, France etc. Check

In fact the BBC site has loads of interesting stuff if you search in it for "immigration" - of course, mostly from a UK perspective.

As for racism, it's there, of course, but many migrants also talk about how most people they meet are friendly, it depends on their luck and on their own attitudes; sometimes people prefer to ignore racism, rather than focus on it and let it get them down.

Migration?? Don't understand your question. What does RACISM have to do with it?? Are you talking about birds migrating south for the winter? Or people migrating (moving) within their own country. Or are you talking about IMmigration....which has to do with people relocating to a different COUNTRY?

Almost ALL anti's think anyone that is here in this country illegally are of Mexican decent. People(not all but a lot) look down on anyone that migrants here from a Latin country. Stick around here and you will see many things dealing with racism and immigration. Good luck with your project!

Well, since you're already on here, you can look through YA and you'll find all the blatant discrimination that most in our country (USA) have for anyone who is here from a "different" nationality. They (not all of them, some, you'll see the pattern) cover it up by saying they're anti-illegal, but when you read most of the answers you'll see the racism against ALL who are not American. It's sad, but true. You can also go to Yahoo news, there is an article on some college kids who beat up on two foreign exchange students from the middle east and called them terrorists, just because they were from the middle east. It happens a lot here in the USA.
