What the problems with getting out of Iraq NOW?

The strategy being pursued by the Bush administration is only a delay for getting out of Iraq; It is get out later or get out now. I am for getting out now and saving hundreds and thousands of lives including our own soldiers and billions more dollars. Then work on trying to rebuild or credibility in the world. The longer we stay the worse it will become..and its plenty bad now.

I suggest that you find out what Al Quaeda intends to do with the plurality of Iraqis who voted for democracy.

Leaving now would be an admission that we were wrong to go in in the first place, and would make President Bush look bad. His whole presidency has been about trying to win a positive place in the History Books, and a clear failure in Iraq would ensure that he'd be remembered as one one the worst failures ever to hold the Presidency. What's a few thousand dead troops compared to saving the Presidents Image? The sad thing is that our peoples sacrifices and efforts have done tremendous good for the People of Iraq, and could do so much more given effective leadership and achievable goals. A better Commander in Chief would have understood that, like with Japan and Germany after WW2, you can't Nation Build until the fighting has stopped.

It seems the only problem of usa about Iraq is prestige. You engaged a war with false information, after the occupation you did what was best to ensure that the situation will be beyond repair and now if you'll leave Iraq for the rest 25 years people will watch the news and see still Iraqis killing each other and remember that the Americans did that. It's about prestige!
