I have a document that is 8 pages now and will be many pages when I'm through. It's an instruction manual, so I'm typing the pages as I think of a topic, but I want to rearrange the pages in a more sensible order when I'm done. Is there a way I can view the document several pages at a time and click and drag the pages to where I want them? I thought I remembered doing that when I took a Word class some 10 versions ago probably, but I'm looking everywhere in that program and can't find a way to do it!

Yes, it is possible to drag the content to the order you want them when you are finished. First you will have to select each of your topic or page headings and assign them a Style, do this by selecting the heading and click on the Style box (it has Normal in it by default and is to the left of the Font box) Choose Heading 1.
When you have done this for all the headings change your page View to Outline.
If all of your text is showing click on the number 1 on the Outlining toolbar (The numbers 1-7 followed by All) You should now only see the headings with a white cross in front of each.
You can move a whole section by clicking and dragging the cross to where you want it and your document will be laid out as you want it. You can change back to the View you use normally when you have finished.

The option is under the View, Zoom... menu, however, don't forget to put page breaks in where you want a topic to end. Another suggestion would be to create pages based upon your outline and store your topics in different documents so as to not loose too much data if something happens. And, don't forget to make a backup copy as you go, and store this on an alternate drive, not the working drive.

You can view many pages at once by going to the view menu, choosing "zoom", and then choosing "many pages."

I know of no way to drag and drop pages to rearrange them, but you can drag and drop sections of text. To do so, select the text you wish to move, click the selection and hold the mouse button down while you drag it where you wish to move it.

If outline your document, you can move outline sections, and the the underlying text will move when you move the section.

I don't think you can. I've never heard of anyone being able to click and drag pages around. Best shot you've got is to cut and paste the sections onto new sheets and rearrange them that way.

Select Window, Split. You will be able to view two different areas of the document. In one window move to the place where you wish to insert text; in the other window find the text to be moved, highlight it, click and drag to the other window and drop.

To remove split, select Window, Remove Split.

I can't point you exactly where to look at,as I don't have MSW installed. I THINK if you mis-spell a word , and right-click on that word, somewhere in the menu that pops up is autocorrect settings. In there I think you can add auto-corrects (i.e. add CO to Crohns Disease)

do want them to be like 2 pages on one? like a program? well if you do i can tell you how, go to printe setup it should by where it says print , if not when you click print look for that opinsion, then just pick how you want your pages. i hope that helps

Click on view then thumbnails and you can click and drag the docs.
