You probably know this but daylight or better still direct sunlight which hits the third-eye (between the eyebrows) stimulates the serotonin production in the brain.
Apprarently, roasted pumkin seeds, baked potatoes with their skin on are good & to make serotonin, the body also needs a good supply of vitamin B6 - which is found in carrots, fish, lentils, peas, potato, spinach, and sunflower seeds.
Basil taken as tea is supposed to be effecive & also cloves prepared as tea (but not 2 b taken if u have IBS).
Also the supplement 5HT from health shops is supposed 2 b good.
PS> these foods contain phenylethylalanine which is the chemical relased when you're on a "high" being in love & of course is found in chocolate but also almonds, apples, carrots, chicken, peanuts, pineapples, eggs, tomatoes, beetroot, herring and milk.So they might also be good to eat for feeling good!

Carbohydrates - bread, porridge, potatoes etc. They have lots of tryptophan in them, which is converted by enzymes into serotonin thus elevating the levels. However if you've got a problem with your balance of serotonin, diet isnt always the best way to deal with it, sometimes tablets will do the job quicker. But you have to watch out for weight gain and constipation with stodgy food.
