Okay, you may have no option but to go back with them, but if you have US citizenship you could also come back to the US when you're a little bit older. Make sure you keep in contact with all your friends in NY, and apply yourself as best you can in all your studies, it will give you more options later.

Do you have a student counsellor in your school? Talk with them; they may be able to persuade your parents to at least time your return to Romania so as to have least impact on your school work, exams etc.

Another possibility: is there anyone your parents would consider allowing you to stay with, like a relative? But it would really be better to stay with your parents.

Have you lived in Romania before? It's certainly going to be very different from the States, but you might find you learn a lot there as well. It might be very tough at first, but it might make you into a very strong person as well, one that really knows what they want in life.

Good luck!

It's hard to say that there's anything you can do, as a child. Do you have family here in the U.S. that you could stay with until you graduate high school? If not, maybe ask some penetrating questions to your parents like how secure your future is out there and what benefits would you be able to look forward to for giving up your American opportunities, but I don't have a real answer

If you are 14, you should be with your parents. You are just a child and you still need them. When you get older, then you can think about coming back. But right now, you are still a child and must listen to your family. They have your best interests in mind.

i dont condone or advise what im about to tell you but its something you could do...but beware....this is a true account of a 13 yr old girl whos now living in foster care....basically her parents abused her and made her work in a garment factory ....since she was 8 yrs old ..she was made to work in a sweatshop everyday after school....finally she couldnt take it anymore and reported her parents to child services....the matter went to family court and she was allowed to leave her parent and live in a foster care....and all this happened right here in NY...anyways this scenerio may not apply to you ...but you may be able to go to court and either emanicipate yourself or perhaps get assistance from child services....but beware of whatever choice you make...whatever you decide to do will impact your life for the rest of the way....do you love ny so much that you'd be willing to give up your parents??? another recourse would be for you to come back from your home country to NY once you've turned 18 assuming that are a US citizen.....

Sorry, being only 14 yrs. old, you really can't do much. Try really hard convincing your parents to stay, or maybe if you have some relatives, try staying with them. But remember sometimes your parents really do know best.

If you're under 18, you can't do anything.

If you're over 18, see an immigration attorney and begin the naturalization process.
