it may be teeth, also. or maybe a small stroke. best to see the vet.

It is cold winter time here where I live. My cats will be slobbering on me but I will be slobbering also. I just hold them close and put some extra blankets on. Same with my dog. They keep me warm and I keep them warm. I go into the kitchen and find something nourishing for them and for me. Next thing you know it, they are happy and so am I
I get on the back steps and sit in the sun; it feels wonderful and my darlings spend the time with me getting more healthy and helpful.
Just hold your cat and keep it warm. The darling will let you know if it has a problem or not. Look at the eyes and hold him/her they will always tell you what the problem is.

My cat needed his teeth cleaned professionally, and since thats been taken care of, he doesn't drool anymore. He might have gingevitis or a cavity or just plaque build up, so a cleaning could solve the problem. He also may have a partial obstruction in his throat; sorry to worry you. How old is he? My daughter's old cat began to drool, and the vet said that in her case, it was just a symptom of old age. But get a vet checkup anyway, it will give you piece of mind, and will give you a good indication of your cat's over all health. (A semi-annual checkup is always a good idea for any pet).

Hi there, i would definitely take puss to the vet. Slobbering could mean any number of things, my cat had a heart problem, and was drooling... it can also be a sign of FIP or even a symptomatic FIV cat. The fact that his eating less leads me to think he could have a tooth or gum infection so, please, these are all warning signs.
Good luck, let us know how you make out, and, hurry!

Definitely take him to the vet. He might have gotten into something without you knowing it, he could just have a cold, or he could have an abscessed tooth. Any major change in eating habits is a scream for medical attention by your kitty!

Definately get the cat to the vet. If he goes outside it could be a number of things, and even if he is an inside cat they still have plenty of things to get into. Don't let him suffer get him to a vet.

definitely see the vet - anytime your pet's appetite shows changes it could mean something serious. very little probability of a sore throat in cats.

This is unusual behavior for a cat. I would definately recommend taking your cat in to be seen by a veteranarian. It could be one of many things and by him not eating or drinking, this is a clear indication that your cat if feeling a certain amount of discomfort.

My cat does that sometimes too......I have no clue why......but she has never had any other problems....so I figure its probably just like when we drool in our sleep.....but if you are still that concerned then you should maybe ask a vet just to be safe.
