When I've made fruit smoothies in the past with my smoothie maker, I can always feel & taste the pips from the strawberrys in the drink.

Is there anyway i can make my drink a little more smoother? ie remove the pips?

Put the strawberries into a food processor and pulse for a few minutes. Empty into a sieve and push through with a spoon. The little seeds will be left behind. Or you can put them in the freezer for an hour and then you can scrape the outside to remove the seeds before you actually use them. The other way is to use a small pot , cut them in half, add a small amount of sugar and let them heat for a few minutes. When they soften you can push them through a strainer.

the only way you might be able to do this is to use (gasp!) frozen strawberries and put them through a fine mesh strainer before adding to your smoothie mixture. you will not get as much of the health-related properties from frozen strawberries as you do fresh, since they have been processed or cooked before freezing. they should taste relatively the same, but i say drink the pips! everyone could use a little extra fiber in their diet!

I'm not a cook or anything and I'm not sure how big the pips are....
But, could you maybe pour the mix through a strainer after blending it to get the pips out?

You can sift it through a fine mesh strainer after you blend. The results will probably be the smoothest smoothie EVER. Check Williams Sonoma or online (since Williams Sonoma is ridiculously overpriced.

put the strawberries in the blender with nothing else, maybe just a little liquid. blend into a puree. pass this puree through a sieve, clean the blender, then put the pipless puree back in along with other smoothie ingredients. blend.

Peel the pips from the strawberry with a paring knife before you blend it.

What I do, is mash the berries 1st, then squeeze them through cheese cloth - you don't get the seeds, nor the pulp. If you don't mind some seeds, then just less whole berries, and more juice. That way you still get the pulp from the berries, yet those tiny seeds won't bother you as much.

You give me the pip, with your pip problems. I know what you mean, but it doesn't bother me, I'd just drink it.
