Hey Jagan,

There are disposable underwater cameras, they are the easiest and cheapest. Then, you get into underwater photography seriously, if you choose not to use that.

"We are not just the best place to buy underwater cameras, digital camera housings, and underwater video. We are also the best place to learn how to use them!
This website is devoted to the art of underwater photography.
Our mission is to help underwater photographers achieve their full potential." 2

Read the wikipedia description, then the other sites discuss equipment. If you want cheap equipment, check E-bay or other auction house.

Jagan, The best idea is to go in a aquriuam or go inside the water carrying oxygen (like in sea diving) with a water proof camera. A alternative can be to use a plastic coated device from where u can control the canera staying outside the water.

There are special underwater cameras that you can buy. Someone I know that's really into scuba diving has one. It really looked like a camera with a big plastic case around it to keep the actual camera from getting wet. But do a search on underwater cameras. You might be able to get a cheap one on Ebay.

Yes, you need a water-proof camera. Kodak has a digital disposable camera that runs just under $20. It's not a bad deal if you just need it for a one time vacation.

Have fun!

Just buy a water proof camera. Even the cheap disposable ones are surprisingly good.

I know someone who puts his camera into a freezer zip-lock bag, but I wouldn't risk my camera that way.
