Yes it is wrong. In the Bible the Apostle Paul tells men to love their wives as they love their own bodies and as Christ loved the church. It only tells wives to be respectfully submissive. Submissive does not mean walked all over. At that time, in that culture marriages were arrange so it was a very NEW thing Paul was asking for Husbands to love their wife, and wives to have respect for their husbands.

Although in Ephesians 5:22 the bible says,"Wives be subject to your own husbands as to the lord." It also says just a few verses later in Ephesians 5:25,"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her"
So Christ acted completely selflessly always putting the needs of us before himself.
That is biblicaly how we should treat our wives, always putting their needs before our own. If we do that are they then our slaves? No I would say not.

You will not find that in the Biblical text.
The only Master is Jesus Christ.
