So I've no reason to believe I am pregnant, except for the symptoms that I'm having, which I believe are all in my head. I've only had sex with my boyfriend twice since my last period, relying soley on the pill, which i've been on for 9 years. In the past year i've been taking it continuously to prevent my periods due to migraine complications. I went off briefly in teh beginning of December because I'd had surgery that prevented me from taking them, hence my last period. My boyfriend and I broke up 2 weeks ago. This past week, i've had sore breasts, lower back pain, loss of appetite, increased sense of smell and a taste of metal in my mouth, not to mention being tired and emotional. The problem is these symptoms could also be associated with my emotional break up and the fact that I lost my appetite since then. Pregnancy test says no, but it's been 3 weeks since we last had sex. Is it too soon for that to be accurate. Is it possible I'm imagining these symptoms?

Honestly YES...you can make yourself believe you are pregnant, however Mother Nature will not allow your body to stop. So you will still continue to get AF...I too LONGGGG so badly to get pregnant and have a child..I am on my last year of TTC due to AGE issues...and every month about AF time I do tend to get "oh that is a pregnancy sign"...so yes you can make yourself believe but your body knows...

If you just went back on the pill after being off for a short amount of time it could cause the symptoms you are having. Since you said you use the pill to prevent your period completly you may either want to let yourself get a period (take that last week of pills) or go to a dr for a blood test just to make sure you didn't get pregnant during the time you were off the pill. Any more than 2 days of missing pills (or being off them in your case) would give you a chance to get pregnant.
