Right now I would concern yourself most with a set potty and sleep schedule. Be sure to have a crate

It is impossible to train a puppy that is full of energy regardless of breed. Play with her for an hour or so - play hard. Take that extra energy out. Then start pressure and release on her. You didn't say what you wanted to train her for. House breaking? Leash? Sit and stay? Down? Regardless, take her out and play with her until she's tired. Then she'll learn better. The quicker you can leash train her, the quicker you can take her out. She's a big dog, so get a bike or take up jogging. If she's not bouncing off the walls with pent up energy, you'll find a whole different animal. Rotties can be fantastic dogs - look how many end up in police and rescue work!

Also, the best thing you could possibly do is enroll both of you in a basic dog obedience course. Get the basics. Then, if you like playing with your dog, check out dog agility training. What a GREAT game that is for both dog and human. Dogs learn to go through tunnels, climb ladders, jump over or crawl under things, all at the command of the owner. And there's competitions all over about how fast the dog can run a preset course. I think you'll both like it. Check out http://www.dogpatch.org/Agility/ for more information.

You should have a kennel or crate for the dog to stay in when you are sleeping or gone. It should be small so the dog has no room to mess in one part and sleep in another. At the same time, you should put the dog out regularily and praise for doing it's duties. Puppies have a lot of energy and need to play. Then they will rest also and will eventually even out at about 1 1/2 year old.
Teach the dog hand signals like sit/stay with your hand flat over it's face(but not touching). This is a key command especially for large breeds that need controlling. Praise and reward, both very important with training. Never spank or hit, breeds that tend to be aggressive will only be more so if corporal punishment is used.

It is impossible for a puppy that age to concentrate for long periods. Just have very short training sessions of a couple of minutes at a time with her, teach her simple things like sit & come. Be consistent and don't let her get away with things. Be patient and don't have unrealistic expectations, she will get there in the end.
Once she's had her innoculations, enrol her in a good training class so she gets used to other dogs & people & you learn good training sessions.

And pretty soon, she'll outweigh you and be eating your little sister...maybe you should have gotten a pug for your 1st dog?

Find a puppy training class. They have them in every town. They even have them at Petsmart.

You don't want a 90-120 lb untrained Rotty on your hands...

Why didn't you ask this question before you got a dog. You can't learn how to train a dog by reading a few paragraphs from every yahoo. Get a few books on the subject and maybe a few about Rottweilers.
