hi i know this person who had a knot on their back almost like a zit but when he cut it open there was a hard white cord looking thing that came out and it was huge about 4 inches long anyone know what these are called i have heard they are called cords but cant find any info on them how would your body even have these nasty things what causes them ??? im pretty grossed out about it all !!!

never bit it just kept getting bigger over a 2 year period now he has a scar and looks like a small hole in his back !!

lol no he's not going to die and it's not a bug or worm it's almost like a pimple or white head that never erupted the puss inside gets thicker the longer its there that's why it looks kinda stringy when removed just be sure to keep it clean and free of infection

my brother had something like that. nasty huh? they called it an infected boil. eewwwww... with a cord double eewwww. anyhow it was caused by picking. He must have had a zit, and couldn't leave it alone. Always touching and scratching at it. It was there for about four months before it came out. Sickest thing I ever saw, I still tease him. and he still has a scar. I think it is caused from too much build up with no release. Anyhow be glad it's out. See a doc to be sure, my bro did, but it never came back he never had anything like that again.
