If a public library near you owns computers thay should also have scanners there. You should have floppy disks with you rather than CDs as lots of computers these days are being made without CD Writers for companies.

If u have a digital camera take a picture of that pic. Then plug your camera into your computer.Save the Pics to a folder and they will be on your computer. The things at Wal Mart usually cost about 30cents a piece so you will save yourself some money

Most places that develop film now offer to put them on a disc for you in addition to developing. Stores that offer printsetting and copies will often also scan for a fee. You can also ask for negatives to be made of a photo at places that also develop film and have those put onto a disc.

Hope this helps.

Yah, I think Rite-Aid and Wal-Mart will process them any way you like. You really need to ask for a digital camera as a gift.

P.S.
You don't look like an idiot. We made the wrong assumption. It's nice of you to do that.

Just piling on here...when you get your film developed, you can have them put the pics on a CD for you.

If you have them scanned, you can have them sent to you via email to save the cost of the CD (in my experience, you can't bring in a CD, and they charge a ridiculous amount for the disk.)

Yes, some Wal-Mart's offer this service and it is oftentimes do-it-yourself, easy and cheap.

Kinko's will do it for you - but charge too much.

Also, in the future, when you develop your film, for just $2 Wal-Mart will provide you a disk with the entire roll of photos on it.

WalMart, Target and RiteAid and even Safeway out where I live (Nor Cal) have these everywhere. You can scan your pics and they will put them on a CD or you can have them printed like normal 35mm film.
