True champagne comes from the champagne region of France. The major city there is Reims, which is considered the champagne capital of the world. Sure they make champagne in Italy, Spain, California, yet those are labeled as sparkling wines, not champagne. The reason is the earth in the champagne region is lined with a lime chalk substance that gives the champagne grapes a unique tart taste. That taste alone is worth it's weight in gold. Not against beer, I like the suds, especially Bud, but champagne is made for special occasions

Its a toss up because I like both. Now please don't get it confused with Malt Liquor...that's not beer! The best tasting beer I think is Red Stripe (Premium Jamaican Lager) and the best champaign is Moet (Nectar). The Red Stripe doesn't have the nasty back of the tongue aftertaste. You know a good beef if you can drink it with dinner! The Moet Nectar has a smooth, sweet taste. Not like the other champaigns that are dry and harsh tasting. You'll be on your second bottle before you know it. Tastes that good but it will have you boppy!

I like the Warsteiner Pilsner, especially from the keg.
I prefer sweeter sparkling wines, one in particular from Italy that I can't recall, to actual champagne. It is too dry.

Really a personal choice.

Also depends on what you may be eating. Beer compliments some foods, and Champaign accompanies other foods.

Champagne !!!! if your still not convinced try both yourself, its a personnal choice, as long as your allowed to drink that is !!!! Beer is great on a summers day, freezing from the chiller, but you cant beat a glass of good bubbly.

Beer is pretty nasty tasting, but I'll drink it. Champagne is alot better tasting but leaves me with killer head aches just like wine.

I have a new love for Leininkugel's flavors. They have not made one yet that I don't love. Honey weiss, berry weiss, and sunset wheat( even better than Oberon, don't tell anyone I said that)

You don't flavor beer. It's not accessorized. Champagne is from France, and therefore should be accessorized. Damn French.
