Christianity never claims to have outward happiness as a consequence. If the Holy Spirit fills your life then you will be content and have inner spiritual joy.

But outward is always circumstancial and temporal. But you can have inner joy and contentment in all situations through Christ who strengthens you.

I can empathize, same thing happened to me with Christianity. People are attracted to the better-known religions because they have genuine spiritual needs which must be filled. People are looking for community and for answers to the "big questions": What life is all about, and how we should live it. For many people, the so-called major faiths do not have answers that work.

There are a lot of other options besides Christianity to explore. :-) For me personally, it was Ásatrú. There is no one right religion out there for everyone.

Have you ever truly asked god to save you and have you been born again.Don't confuse being a real christian and being religious. They are not the same.Only Jesus will give you peace and understanding.Read the book of Romans in the new testament.

Jesus did not say that Christianity would bring happiness in this life. He said that he would always be with you and that he would give you peace.

Dont seek out any kind of religion for your happiness. If you are dead set on spirtuality seek out God and Jesus. Not religion.....Religion is full of lies, hypocrosiy, war etc.....dont trust "religion". There is a difference..
