live and they are terrible so i am going to try to change things around here. it is going to take alot of hard work and time on my part and if i can actually change this than i doubt i will be able to do it in time for my daughter to actually go to daycare but at least i might save some families from the horrible things that happen in the daycares where i live so i would like state ratios for liscenced daycares in your area to compare to what we have in florida which are (no infants i have yet to find a center that takes infants thank god cuz there ratios suck)
1 yearold's 10 kids to 1 care provider
2 year olds 12 to 1 CP
3 yearolds 14 to 1 CP
4 yearold 16 to 1 CP
etc so i have asked in the past what you thought about these ratios and you all overwhelming agreed with me this is not good so help with your state ratios so i can get the ball rolling please there have been kids in these centers that have brain damage serious burns and locked on busses also CP hired w/ no background

Wow, I live in Pennsylvania and we have much better child to caregiver ratios.

Infants to one year 3 kids to 1 caregiver
One to two years 4 kids to 1 caregiver
Two to three 5 kids to 1 caregiver
Three to four 5 kids to 1 caregiver
Four and five 6 kids to 1 caregiver

I lived in Mississippi in the early 90's and the child to caregiver ratio was 10 kids for one caregiver for up to 1 year, then 12 to 1 for 2 year olds like you listed. I thought this was just unique to Mississippi, but I guess not. Good luck trying to get this changed - I quit working at a daycare in MS because of the chaos of too many kids and not enough teachers.
