I need a copy of a W-2 from a previous job. They wont mail it to me, I've gone there to pick it up but everyone claims they don't know where it is, I've tried contacting managers but It now seems everyone is intentionally ignoring me. Anyways....I really need to get a copy of it and I know there is a website that can do that I just can't remember what it is. Would you know?

You have to get that from the employer. They are legally obligated to send you a copy on request. If they refuse to, contact the IRS. The IRS will start a fire under their butts and you'll have your W2 in no time.

If this is for a job that you held in 2006, the deadline for mailing them out is January 31st. You need to wait at least until Feb 15th or so to allow for mail delivery before you start making waves. They have no obligation to get them to you earlier than the deadline so just be patient.

Unless the employer provides a website that you can access copies of your W2s from, there is no way to get them on line.

Well, there might be a website for your specific company. I don't think there is a universal website. It is also illegal for the company to not provide you the W-2 before the end of January. Threaten them with that and see what they do.

Try this website - no guarantee it will work.

If it doesn't work document all your attempts to obtain a W-2. If you have not obtained it by February 15th file using a substitute W-2. I hope you have your final paystub.
