I put a previous post about this. This past Sunday night he made a movie date with me for this wednesday. I said, yes, we said goodnight, and he said would call me the next day. He didnt call me at all for our date until Wed night, and he said.

"Im sorry I havent been able to talk the past few days, its been real crazy here. My cell reception wasnt working so I threw it against the wall, and it broke."

That was pretty much it, and I had to end the call. He didnt mention the fact we were supposed to meet up that day. Is this guy playing with my mind?

here is the bottom line with guys.

if you are the priority they will make sure that they are johnny on the spot.

no ifs, and (s) or butts about it - hope extra t was ok -

so my advise as to the way to look at this is .... it does not take several days to work out a phone call if he busted his; at most a couple hours to get change and find a payphone - or come see you.

it is a very weak excuse and complete disregard in ref to the time to call you back & sluffin' off the date.

dump him, it is not going to get any better.

If it continues, I would mention it's bothering you. Tell him the past few times you've gone out he's had to leave & even though there is always a reason, you're starting to feel unimportant. Tell him if he has other plans, it's fine- he can tell you & perhaps you could even tag along. It does sound a bit like he's hiding something whether or not it's shady. I mean he could have a night job or want to get home to his dog or his roomate to play some video games or he could be seeing someone else or visiting a strip club! I mean, who knows until you confront him. Try to be calm & supportive. Good luck!

Don't sit around waiting for him. He is not the only person in the town. Move on with your life, if he calls again with a lame excuse about his cell, let him know that they still have land phones in the town. Life is short, so go out and have some fun!

even if he isn't playing with your mind, anyone who would throw a cell phone against the wall has problems and is someone who is probably nothing but trouble in the long run. Sounds like an abuser looking for someone to abuse!

He's not playing with you...he's just not into you.

He totally forgot about your date, realizes he screwed up and instead of admitting as much and having to face the repercussions he's lied to you and either 1) hopes you believe it and gives him a second chance or 2) yells at him so he can say he dumped YOU because you were being a witch!

don't give him either...write him off like a bad debt!

To me it sounds like he is hiding his relationship with you from someone. Is it possible he is married or in a relationship with someone else. I mean so what if his cell wasn't working there are other phones that can be used. I would say he is leading you on .

How rude of him! He sounds to me he's making up an excuse....in a childish way. For him to forget that you were supposed to be seeing him that day...how important are you to him? Call it a day hun, move on...his loss!

Yes. He's trying to determine how much mistreatment you'll accept. He seems selfish, self focused and an all around jerk. Tell him to kiss off.

Yeah, he's not taking you serious at all. If you are interested in finding someone for a serious relationship, I would not look at him. First impressions are very important, and he has messed up on his.
