To be more specific - He is 19mths, is not in any way sick. I have taken him to the doctor who says she is not too worried because he is eating, drinking and extremely active. I took him off of dairy and it has not worked. He does not drink more than a cup of juice per day. He loves fruit but I always balance it out with a starch (cereal, potatoes, rice, bread). The people at the pre-school don't seem to appreciate changing a runny, stink poop everyday. HELP!

My kids had the same thing. I got worried cause they lost weight, I thought it was the stomach virus, but it ended up to be that they ate something that intoxicated their stomach and the doctor gave them some kind of medicine to clean out their system. Also have the doctor run some blood work.
Hope this helps and hope your toddler gets better, I know how stressful it is when our kids are feeling sick
Good Luck.

Too much fruit juice can do it. Especially apple juice. Try reducing the amount of juice by diluting it 50/50 with water and gradually phase it out. Your child shouldn't receive more than 3 cups of juice per day. They should be drinking mainly water.
P.S. Food allergies don't do this.

You should take them to the doctor's. The runny stool should not last for a month. I have seen my kids have it for the longest two weeks and that was from them being on medicine that causes it. Call the doctor and tell them. They might just give you some info over the phone.

I would suspect food allergies. Most common in toddlers is wheat, eggs, soy and dairy. Try keeping a food diary for a couple of weeks or get allergy testing done Hope the poor baby feels better soon!

Yeah go to the doc.....
Your kid can get and probably is very dehydrated.....Not good.
Think about your kids diet for the last 2 weeks and make sure you tell you doctor everything you child has ate.
Think about if your kid was sick or had a stomach flu......
Anything that isn't normal.
Even environment or relationship change can have negative affects on a child's body and mind.....

BRAT
Bananas
Rice
Applesauce
Toast
the only fluid given should be water.

the little one could have a food intolerance, what do you give the child to eat on a regular basis. If the child isn't losing weight, or acting lethargic, you can probably find the answer yourself with a little sleuthing. If the child is losing weight, or acting lethargic, time to see the doctor.

teething. How old is your toddler? It could be a food alergy too. Have him or her checked out. My son had the nastiest stools he's had so far when he broke his first teeth. Most doctor's will deny there is any link between the two however.

Milk allergy or some other form of food allergy - especially if the stool is very foul smelling.
