When is it too late?

When is it too late to get away from an abusive man?
Is it before you live together or after?
Some people say that it depends on how long you've
been with him? I am leaving an abusive relationship,
and we never lived together. He's been gone for months
now,& I think he's for sure going to stay away now.
He use to say cruel things to me,and his abuse gradually
got worse over time. He wanted me to live with him and
move away from all my family & friends but I left before
he could get me to do that cause he bit me in my sleep
and called me stupid. Do you all think he'll leave me alone
for good this time?

At the first sign of an abusive relationship you need to get away from it. I've heard so many stories about women who allow themselves to be battered because, well because this guy makes you believe that he's doing it for your own good or because he loves you. Don't let anyone walk all over you like that, don't give them the opportunity to hurt you and if they do, chuck him like yesterday's garbage. Be strong okay and make sure you report to the authorities if he ever does anything (which is what you should have done to begin with). Work on building your self-worth.
It's never too late to get away from someone like that. Women all over the world need to believe that they deserve someone who will treat them RIGHT! There's no justification for abuse (men and women alike).

just do whatever you can to stay away from him, if he comes back around ever, call the police and get a restraining order.let him know you are stronger than he thought.and good for you for getting away.a lot of women are afraid to do so
