I am 27 soon to be 28 in February; I have dark circles under my eyes and I’m trying to find out which creams, home remedies, etc are the best for this. Anyone who can give me suggestions on what they use to lighten them that would be awesome.

This is a rather common question so I thought I would do a search for you on Yahoo Answers and came up with a thread dealing with this. The first link has loads of information about getting rid of them and what is causing it. I also threw in a nice website that can help.

Hope they help you out.

Dark circles come from four different areas. One is herittary, one is strong bone structure in the eyebrow area causing a shadow and the third is allergies, fourth being lack of sleep.. The first one, you could have very thin skin with veins showing thru. The shadow can be helped by holding your chin a little higher so you don;t cause such a shadow under the eyes. The allergy one is the most common along with the lack of sleep. With the allergy, you need to find out what you are allergic too, and eliminate it from your system. If it is lack of sleep, simply try to get more sleep. There are several products on the market that help on this condition. You need to find one that not only moisturizes the eye area, but, reflects light so it doesn't seem as dark. You can also use concealer, but use it sparingly and not all over under your eyes or you will look like a raccoon. You can apply with a brush and tap it lightly just under the dark area and blend. The best thing I have found for dark circles is using an eye gel with vitamin k and tea tree oil. Both vitamin k and tea tree oil aid in repairing the damaged blood vessels that cause the dark circles and help to strengthen delicate skin such as found around the eyes to prevent further darkening.

I've heard that Hylexin works great, although I haven't tried it myself. I think it costs about $90 in most department stores and online.

Usually makeup with a yellow, corrective color balances out the purple in dark circles and helps quite a bit. Maybe try that over a few dabs of foundation.

Skin brightening creams and bleaching creams work very well. Also if you wear makeup find a bright concealer to lighten it up and then brush over lightly with a powder.

traditional cucumber, tumeric, milk yeah they all work verry slow and you get really tired and don't see any results and eye creams are risky.
but for fast results, ice it. Before you sleep at night, take an ice cube and run it around the dark circles for along long as you like or your severity. i tried it, i works!!!
check for results the next morning and by the end of the week you look stress free, radient and younger!!!

Mix a small amount of your foundation with a drop or two of mineral water (do it on your palm) and apply by clean fingertips as concealer under your eyes .
