I have no idea how to forgive and forget. It seems like a paradox. Normally when I lose trust in someone, I remove them from my life and move on. I really want to not-do that in this case.

Anyone have an Rx or is this a prescription for disaster? What are some ways to rebuild trust?

Forgiveness takes time, so be patient with yourself. But for whoever it is that did something for you to no longer trust them, it's up to them to rebuild that trust with you, they should have to prove to you that they are trust worthy. In any case involving betrayal of trust I believe that you never really forget, look at it like a learning experience but just don't let this other person take advantage of the fact that you want to give them a second chance.
