Diseases can mutate within the body, especially if you dont fully finish your antibiotics. As well, every person is different, so the different symptoms may come out differently in each person.
As well, depending on how the disease was originally transferred to either person, it adapts to the "living" enviornment and can become an entirely different disease, therefore causing different symptoms.

It depends upon how close one person got to another in order to spread the germs. If your tongue is so far down a person's mouth that you got to her or his stomach then you have more then disease to worry about.

Diseases can mutate, this is how we have come to have these 'super-bugs'. As we take one antibiotic, the virus will adapt to survive.
Symptoms can manifest differently in different bodies, however. Each of us is different and so are our bodies, immune systems, and lines of defence. most diseases have more than one symptom.

Most disease's (some disease aren't really true disease just stereotyped as one.) don't change they just lower your immune system which lets lots more in through the half battered door if its a nasty one.
