Sometimes, I can't be bothered to speak to my girlfriend for a day and she gets really p*ssed off about this...it's unreasonable.

Maybe it's a needy thing, sometimes it's nice to feel wanted and to have someone who you know wants you is a lovely feeling. If I had a bloke I'd want to talk every day even if it's a quick text just to say hi. That's how I see relationships, about wanting to see how the other person is and talk to them all the time (sometimes space s good too but texts don't intrude too much)

Women hate being ignored for several reasons.... Most have to do with feeling like they aren't being respected... Women also like to have a sense of control over a conversation because it gives them power... Not a bad power... but just something that feels like they are useful... When you take that away it makes them feel that you don't need them, want them, or respect them enough to let them know what is important in your life...

Not to be unfair to her either... but she is your girlfriend... You and her have a bond for a reason... And if you really like this person... you have to be able to make her feel like she is important in your life... I'm not saying that you have to give her a minute-to-minute play-by-play... I am saying that even a quick note to let her know that you will be busy and might not be able to talk today is going to help a lot more than just ignoring her...

That will fuel a fire faster than anything else... Ignoring her...

She also has to understand that she can't monopolize your time either... She must realize that she is "part" of your life... but not all of it and she can't expect or demand or get pissed because you aren't available to her 24/7....

I think this is something that the two of you need to sit down and talk about... Set aside some time to discuss what is important in your relationship and let her know that its not helping the two of you feeling like you have to be so accountable for each other...

Hope this helps... Take care....

Women are normally social creatures and it is part of their genetic makeup to bond with others by talking and sharing.

Also most women are particularly sensitive about being rejected and being ignored often feels like being rejected.

If you're living together/in her company at the time then its plain rude of you to just ignore her.

On the other hand if you're merely dating why should you not have a day to yourself ewhen you've not got plans to see her?

I get that way sometimes myself. She sounds a little immature. As long as you don't get angry with her for wanting not to talk for a day or so, then it's normal.

I really hate it. It doesn't matter who it is. If I feel like someone isn't listening to me, I will ask them to tell me exactly what I've said.

Because they crave the attention and hate it when they aren't getting any.
