he lives with my mom, no job, and my mom makes her food, bed and take care of him like a baby... my dad if comes in the middle, a huge fight gets started.. how can we make him to find a job and be independent at this age!!!!!!?

Your parents need to find a counsellor who will initiate them
into the "tough love" concept of weaning your brother from
his dependence upon them and help them compromise
their views on this. This situation is effecting every member
of your family but especially your brother who doesn't stand
a chance of an independent, fullfilled life on his own. Every
one's in trouble here. Meet with your school counsellor who
can recommend someone. There may be some issues
regarding mental health in your brother's case that you
may not be aware of. Check out books on "tough love"
from your library to familiarize yourself with the idea
and share them with your parents if possible.

Your brother is a grown man who needs to grow up himself! He needs to start getting off his lazy behind and look for a job, find a place to live, and move out of your mom's house! It seems to me that your mom is willing to support and take care of him, even though he's a grown man! If your mom wants to continue to support him, then let it be! Also, its best to stay out of it and keep your distance! Good luck!

just stay out of it. 40 years she has been doing it, let them die that way. you are independent and know that and he is not. He should be ashamed and yet you are for him....sad! Just live you life great and don't worry about things that you cannot control.

may be try to get him some helpful resourse for indpendent living. if he has money maybe a small apartment close to home. or get him to get a job and start to pay your mom a little rent .

you cant make her stop doing anything. thats her son and she is going to do what she wants. you need to stay out of it.
