frosted glass

I would go for frosted glass because that provides privacy.. If it's a multistorey building and your bathroom isn't on the ground floor, then this might not be such a problem but sometimes you still feel vulnerable. Depends on your personal preference. I don't see why your window should be tempered, because it doesn't seem as if that window is going to go through a little more wear-and-tear than any other window in the house.

Tempered glass is for doors or windows that will have people next to them or going through them.

Examples: door from garage to house and has glass in door. this is tempered so someone can't put their hand through the glass. a window in a shower stall is tempered glass so in case you slip and fall against the window, it will not shatter.

if it just a normal window, just for view and air, normal window glass is fine. tempered is better for security and weather resistant cause its thicker. since its a bathroom I would get it etched, fogged or stain glass over lay for privacy.

Tempered glass means that if it were to break, it wouldn't break into large pieces that would slice you like a sharp knife. Tempered is always best in a bathroom as that is a place where the most skin would be exposed.

If it is an exterior windor just use regular glass - double or triple paned. Tempered glass is used for shower doors, or non-framed glass. The advantage to tempered glass is that it breaks into cubes so it will not cut in case some one falls into it etc.. Vehicle glass is also tempered.

You just gave me my laugh for the day - even though you did not mean to. I was in the "Computer and Internet" section of Yahoo and apparently clicked too far back.

Your question popped up and I am sitting there staring at it goint "Why is this guy trying to install Windows in his bathroom?" Took me a moment to realize I had somehow hopped catagorizes and it WASN'T a computer question.

(I'm not afraid to admit I make an occassional fool of myself. Every village needs an idiot, and today it was me.)

But I got a smile out of me. So thanks for the question...
