i work out about 30min-40min a day on my tony little's gazelle machine for cardio and eat a good diet. Will this remove a lot of body fat from my body and start to see a flatter stomach?

cardio is great for toning your entire body. you should start to see results within 2 weeks.
I've been doing 30-60 minutes on the treadmill 5x a week for 3 weeks, and I already see a major improvement on my stomach and arms, legs...everything! I'm not even considered overweight, so if i saw results already, anyone can.
Once you establish a steady cardio routine that you can follow, you might want to start incorporating stomach workouts such as an ab machine or crunches to enhance your muscles. But don't over do it! Some people rely too much on these ab focused exercises because they are easier and take less time. Cardio takes more time and energy, but it will definitely pay off. It burns the layers of fat and helps tone muscle. Good luck!

It depends on what kind of ab work-out you are doing and what kind of diet you are doing. There are many different theories on how to develop a flatter stomach, but i would have to say that diet is more key than working out. One way to reduce the actual size of the stomach is to go high protein, while consuming less carbs and fats (eliminate breads, pop, beer, fried food). Eat several small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones, and your stomach will actuall shrink...this is when the working out comes into play. One myth to ab work outs is that people do several hundred crunches or sit-ups, yet don't see any results. You must remember to treat your abs like any other muscle group. You dont do several hundred reps with your chest or arms do you? The key to abs is to do them with weights...such as doing sets of 10 and 15 declined sit-ups while holding a medicine ball or a 10-25 pound plate. Also, do not do abs every day..you should rest at least a day...because you do not work your arms or chest everyday right?? With the right diet and right ab workout, you will start to notice your abs starting to "pop" out, allowing you to start developing that almighty 6 pack.

Cosistency and a good diet is the key to weight loss. So keep doing what you are doing and don't stop and you will see your body transform :)

it will soon enough...gradually. make sure you do situps and crunches as well to tighten up the abs, and you'll get a flatter stomach faster.
