Smitty it is John Wayne Gacy not Geysey, and I think he was a clown in a Mexican circus besides being a serial killer.
Stephanie, all rap is not as you describe it in fact much of it is very socially aware and trying to address real problems and it has so much better beat than Mexican circus music. I don't like Mexican circus music much.
So to answer the question we like circuses but not Mexican circus music.

Music has certain conotations or memories in some cases that it brings up. "These boots are made for walkin" is roller-skating music to me. There were these guys from South America at an art festival that played this really cool mystical type music that one might meditate to. No vocals, just instruments. Very relaxing. My kids used to tease me and call it moms "space music". Alot of latino music reminds people of music they play at the circus. Not all music appeals to everyone and especially at the decibals many choose to play it at, or at all times of the day and night. It's not appreciated when it's so loud that it drowns out the radio in my car or so loud I can't hear an ambulance sirene comming behind me. If music NEEDS to be heard that obnoxiously loud.....get a hearing test, or put a vibrating seat in. Part of driving also uses the ability to hear things as well. "stop, look and listen" I don't like "circus" music or rap music or roller skating music or crying in your beer music either. On a radio...I can turn it off and turn to what I want to hear. If your blasting yours so loud I can't think.....you have crossed the line to infringing on my rights. You have the right to listen to it....but you don't have the right to force other people to have to listen to it. You don't have the right to blow my ear drums out or play it so loud people can't sleep. There is a reasonable sound level to where you and I can both be happy.

You know, visiting Mexico was always interesting cuz is was a slight difference to be there, from being in the USA.
I didn't really like the music, or the TV approach or the blood and guts kinda shows that are shown on the tube theree. I DID like th breasty, kinda bimbo like babes/ come do me kinda honeys they had in the tube soaps though.
Much of what I see on the American TV that is Spanish speaking is the same thing but cleaned up. The US standards don't allow the dirt like they do or did in Mexico.
Frankly, I liked the freedom in Mexico that way.
However, I find the Bandara music and many other Latin styles overbearing and too loud here. (I actually teach Salsa dancing so it's not like I don't like it. But its not for everyone.) Some of the romantic stuff is OK but you don't hear you low riders playing that stuff.
I didn't don' t like the **** you rap or the gang rap that much either. I don't need to hear it in public. Music is good but the rap is outside of what I need to hear.
Have the respect of others, ( you may have a hard time with this one) and either give the chance to hear their own music or nothing at all. You are in a public place on the highway. You drive carefully not to injure others. Do the same with your music.
If you are going to be here illegal or otherwise, be here with some kind of dignity and grace. A new concept? One thing someone from another culture can learn living in the USA.

Why do you say all "Middle North Americans" don't like the circus just because a guy (one guy) complained about your "circus music"????

I think the guy was just being rude and by calling it "circus" music, meant it was loud and that he didn't like it. As for the circus itself, even if you enjoy them, the animals are usually treated poorly with little or no freedom or room to move about and exercise. Many people don't like clowns, a fact that was made worse by serial killer John Wayne Geysey, so painted them in prison, and dressed up like one on occasion to entertain kids parties. Ugh.

Antis what were you listening to?
I wish we had some Spanish stations here in FM but we only have about 4 or 5 in AM so the sound quality is horrible.
Who ever thought an accordion would sound so cool. :)
You can always hear it in someone in a car close by because it's a very distinctive bass line. Plus the sound effects crack me up.
"mexicano al huesoooooooooooo"
... Circus' are freaky because of the clowns!

I went to the circus as a kid and saw a guy riding a motorcycle on a rope about 2 stories above the ground. He fell off and died in front of hundreds of screaming children. It was horrible...
People may not like them because they're cheaply made, dirty, and there are animals trapped in cages being forced to ride around on little bicycles and jump through hoops.

I like the circus. What did you do when he said that? I would have turned it up louder. People that are like that are afraid of what they don't know. Screw them it is a free country!

Some people are afraid of clowns. We had one in Chicago by the name of John Wayne Gacy and some still have not gotten over it. Nothing personal.
