If the Quoran advocates mercy and peace?

and large numbers of Muslims clearly do not believe that part of the Quoran, does that not mean that those type of Muslims are infidels?

Making it clear that Not large number of muslims go agaisnt it, but there is a minority just like every other religion who are extremist and take the verses of quran in wrong way, bringing bad name to islam...but you can't generalize it for whole or majority of the muslim community !! but yes those few ignorants are highlighted by the westren media to show the world that muslims are eveil for some political gain and that why you have these feeling............

Umm they are sinners and would get punishment for that as there is no place for violence in our religion. as we believe that killing a single human means killing the whole humanity and saving a single person means saving the whole humanity !!

Because they do not believe that Jesus died for their sins, they need to be saved by deeds. Who on earth can be assured that they have done enough.If some one tells them that the guaranteed way to Paradise is to be a martyr in a Holy War..it can be very inviting to some people.

They can acceto to die for their own "honor", but they cannot accept that it is not shameful to die for the sins of others so they can have a life.

besides killing of the civillians and people not in war has never been part of islam, infact killing of the non muslim who is not at war with muslim is the same as killing muslim and will recieve the same punishment..
those people who give evidance from quran should a type of knowledge called " the reason for ayay" "casue of altanzeel" which means each part of quran came to mohammed PBUH in a certain event meaning a certain type of people or an incidence...
