Hi guys, I popped up home to Scotland about 4 years ago and visited all over. When i VISITED lOCH lOMOND i NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A DIFFERENT STEAMER, WHERE HAS THE MAID OF THE LOCH GONE TO? hOW THE HELL DID IT GET IN OR OUT OF THE LOCH? IF IT HAS GONE, IT'S GOT ME PUZZLED. DID THEY BUID IT ON THE LOCH? SURELY THEY HAVEN'T SCRAPPED HER AS IT WOULD BE CRIMMINAL.

THEY TOOK IT THERE IN SECTIONS ON THE BACK OF SOME TRUCKS MANY YEARS AGO I THINK THERE IS A SOCIETY DEDICATED TO ITS RESORATION AND THEY ARE TRYING TO GET SOME MONEY TOGETHER

Maid of the Loch was built by Inglis`s yard in Glasgow in the early 50`s she was take to Balloch on Loch Lomond in sections and assembled there.Is currently undergoing refurb. and will sail again
in a couple of years.(National Lottery Fund assisted with new slipway) Hope you see her sail again,good health.
