I would like to watch the sun rise over the beach in LA but it sets over our beaches, so is there anyother places that are just as nice?

top of Mt. Wilson .. cannot be beat and not too far

You can't see the sun rise over the beach in LA. The ocean is west of LA, The sun raises in the East. Drive east past Riverside and once out of the smog look east.

The sunlight rises from the east. until eventually you go with to bypass to East la, no position. The "marine layer" ruins a staggering destroy of day. try a sunset at Venice, Playa del Rey, or any of the sea coast cities. there is no longer some thing like seeing the sunlight plunk into the sea.

Maybe Mulholland Drive where it looks over the Valley.
