She may be pregnant - even though she doesn't look it. A friend of mine had dog which had an X-Ray at the vet to confirm she was pregnant - no puppies.
Lo & Behold - 4 wks later - 4 puppies! So you can't always tell.
Also, she could just be developing milk cuz she sees the other girl's puppy.
I would definitely keep her away from you other girl & the puppies. She could get in a fight with the mother - since Mama will want to protect her babies.
Also, the mother may hurt her babies cuz she's being disturbed by another dog - even though they're normally friends. Once the babies get older, they can all be together again.

How do you know she is losing her milk? Are you weighing the puppies twice a day every day and writing it down? Use a digital kitchen scale from walmart. Are they gaining weight? If so, she is not running out of milk. People aren't good at telling how much milk a dog has. But puppies are really good at this. If the puppies gain weight, chill out all is well. Feed her well -- anything she'll eat -- melted vanilla ice creme, bits of steak, anything. I make "lucy loaf" for my nursing moms - a sweet potato cooked in the microwave until soft, remove skin and mash. Add 1 lb hamburger, 2 eggs, and 2 handfuls of oatmeal. Mix well, bake in greased loaf pan until done (350 degrees about an hour) feed three times a day, have dry kibble available 24/7, and tons of water all the time. She and the pups will be fine.

She had a false pregnancy. If the other mama lets her nurse the babies, you just need to watch and make sure the other one doesn't try to take over the litter. You might have a big fight on your hands if they start competing for the pups.

Hmm, Do they look alike? maybe they got mixed up. And I have heard of dogs getting pregnant and not looking so, then had the puppies when no one was around, so they didn't know about the puppies until they found them.

It could be a false pregnancy... My basset hound has had the same thing... we even thought she was pregnant so we took her to the vet and he said it was a false one... she had milk and even acted like she was going into labor! it was kinda strange...
