It depends on whether we are talking about deep plantars warts or regular warts. A plantars wart has a very deep core which must be cut out, and so topical treatments do not work, but a laser treament will. For a normal wart, keep duct tape on it for 3 days, then take off. If the wart is still there, do it agin until the wart disappears.

I had a wart on the ball of my foot once.....hurt ever time I walked!
I clipped a vitamin E capsule and put it on the wart twice a day. I tthen covered it with a bandaid to keep the Vit. E on. Roughing up the surface of the wart seems to speed it up a bit.
Full removal took a few weeks. My foot stopped hurting when I walked within a few days. Over time the seeds in the wart turned black and it came out.
Most importantly, the wart never came back. It's been gone for over 20 years.

Cut off your foot.. LOL! Just kidding! :o) OTC stuff doesn't work for a lot of people, and the only other answer is to give in to having a doctor fix the problem.

Ready? Arm yourself with some tweezers, hydrogen peroxide, nail clippers and maybe a small knife. You have to dig the spore out, which is brown in color, completely then keep the area covered. There won't be any blood flow if you do it right. I would also look at changes in your diet.
