I'm doing a vodka sampling party tonight and I want to know what we should eat/drink inbetween the different vodkas to cleanse our palate.

I judge wine competitions yearly and we tend to have palate cleansers at the tabler so our palates do not get fatigued. I know they may sound weird but they are very neutral and help prepare your palate for the next round. Celery, rare roast beef (deli/sandwich style), plain crackers, baguette slices are all helpful palate cleansers. I also think cucumber slices would work well!

Palate Cleanser For Wine Tasting

Unless you are tasting infusions or other flavored vodkas I personally wouldn't use a palate cleanser between vodkas. However, if you are I would recommend filtered water with as little mineral content as possible or as plain a cracker as you can find. I have done many wine and spirit tastings and I will usually not use cleansers unless the flavor is really strong, but even in that case a very basic bread or cracker is my preferred cleanser.

Sushi eating places supply you a purple pickled ginger reported as "Gari" that's eaten whilst switching to a distinctive fish. this is not too solid yet particularly works!!! you may in many circumstances discover it on the food market interior the oriental ingredients section. If no longer attempt searching for a jap foodstuff industry.

any kind of sherbet... that is what they use in the really upscale restaurants in between courses so that you can get the full effect of the meal. I'm sure that it'll work for vodka as well.

lemon sorbet is best. You know you don't swallow the vodka in a sampling don't you.

Club soda water!

And if you want to spice it up a bit, float some peeled ginger slices in that water.
