who is coming for a visit, and wants to mail some of their medication to your home in their name, so just in case their luggage or personal items ends up missing, they are sure to have their medication when they get to your house as a precautionary measure...If the package remains sealed until they arrive, is it legal to send by mail, and sit in your house till they get here.....I wouldn't want to get into trouble for it coming via us mail, so prior to the visit I am posting this in hopes of a knowing and fast answer....thanks

Mailing Rx drugs is not illegal so long as it is for personal use. Have the box labeled FROM John Smith TO John Smith /co Your Name. Leave the box unopened and you should have no problems.

To be sure, contact the Post Office.
