as long as I lowered the normal pace but the pill bottle says avoid active activities?

If you have so much pain that you have to take morphine, I do not think you are well enough to be going out exercising. Nope. The morphine gives you a false sense of well being. Not only does it take the pain away, but it also gives you the feeling of euphoria.
No. When you get off the morphine, then you may be ready.

If the doc gives the ok....then I wouldn't worry about it. I think the pill bottle doesn't want you driving a car or operating heavy machinery.
