You maintain that ignorance of the law is an excuse.
Others say otherwise.

First of all it's not a myth If you believe Jesus was the Messiah. He said I am the way ,the truth ,and the life no one comes to the Father except through me. For those out of reach. Romans 1;20
"For since the Creation of the world God invisible qualities -his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen , being understood from what has been made, so men are without excuse."
He's saying just by seeing God's creation you should believe. I don't believe Christ would condemn anyone who hasn't heard the gospel of Christ say in the Amazon. But they have the opportunity to believe by what's seen.
Nobody on this earth can say who's going to be saved. A lot of Christians are in a hurry to bring up Salvation, telling you it's in a little prayer, that your saved. They pridefully keep records of people who come forward at an alter call. When really it's a heart issue. And will always be.
Only God knows. I believe in Christ, and believe He died for my sins. I try to live for Him, and I struggle, But the Spirit keeps correcting me and helping me. Jesus said he'd send a helper.
Robot Christians who are always happy are usually lying to themselves, because Christ said in this life we would have many trials. Sorry for being long winded, but Christians are quicker to condemn then God.
Be Blessed

But what if someone grows up on an island where they practice tribal type rituals and have never heard of the bible or Christ? When they die would they be trapped in Hell? Even though they never had the chance to learn about Jesus or the bible or anything about Christianity?
They get to HEAVEN !
Same with idiots, Babies, the Unborn...etc.

Hell is actually a belief that was started way back in Babylon. In the 4th century, so-called Christians incorporated the teaching of hell, in order to convert pagans. Meanwhile, you may know that true Christianity started while Jesus Christ was on the earth. He said that "this good news of the kingdom (everything he taught) will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) Everyone will have an opportunity to learn of this good news, where ever they live on earth.
As for when we die, the bible says this: "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all." (Ecclesiastes 9:5)

I believe solely in God, whatever the shape, color or form he have, God is present anywhere in any form, Bible, Co ran or any other written dogma shouldn't be awarded of the God purposes, to believe in God is a necessity of the human intellect and is an innate need to accomplish the spiritual part into our life. We are eminently spirituals just passing a short vacation inside a perishable body. Any race at any place in the earth without having any connection in the entire life with others coincide in the existence of God, the rest is done by the men imagination for personal benefits.

Dear maria, First of all, Chrisitanity is not a myth, there are numerous differences in myth and the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The life and times and events surrounding the BIble and Jesus christ are historically and scientifically verified independantly, that neveer happened with any myth. secondly what about the ignorant ribes in africa or on some deserted island where they have never heard of Jesus Christ? They will be Fine on Judgement day- if they ahve neevr lied, stolen, commited adultery (lusted), murdered (hated someone) ect. A person Goes to hell not because he hasnt heard of Jesus, but because he has sinned against the Lord. "Sin is transgression of the Law." (1John 3:4). Now while this is an excellent question, if you are truly concerned about these ignorant tribes, you should get saved yourself, then take the Good news of the Gospel to them.
The good news can reach even the most ignorant or hard harted of persons, I am testimonyof this truth.
I once lived the Life of an avid skeptic and unbeliever, I hated religion and I looked down upon the idea of God, and I looked down upon Christianity’s risen messiah. I persisted in this view, Until as I skeptically picked up Gods word, he spoke, and I received a message stating: ”I am astonished you are so quickly removed from the Gospel you have heard to another, apparently there are some who have confused you and perverted the Gospel of Christ, but if any man preach unto you any other, then let them be eternally Condemned.” This harsh chastening of God, led me to reexamine my own skepticicsm. I later had yet another encounter with God, this time, he held up his Law (Ten Commandments) as amirror, and The Holy spirirt convicted my heart as I came to realize God hates lying and stealing abd vlasphemy and adultery and idolatry, all of whom I was guilty. I knew the Bible said the Just penalty fo mr sisn was Hell. I fell upon my face and trembled before God, because I understood His holiness, I repented tward God and placed my faith and trust in Jesus, and now I have eben forgiven and granted the gift of everlasting life. My sisn have been forgiven, and I have a relationship with God.
God Bless
Apostle

Not all Christians agree. If you don't accept Christ you will not be forever trapped in hell. You go to hell if you don't repent (accept Christ paying for your sins), but you don't stay there, you get out...
"death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." (Rev. 20:13.)
Obviously there was a judgement which put someone in hell, the judgment after the resurrection decides where (in heaven) you will go.
As far as those who never had the chance on earth they will hear about it when they are dead and can accept it and be saved.
1 Corinthians 15
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
1 Peter 4
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

My belief is that as long as a person is good and always tries to do the right things whether they have ever heard of God or Jesus they will go to heaven. God sees into the heart of man and he can see whether it is good or evil and that alone I believe will insure his or her place in heaven. I however in this day and age believe that there isn't very many places on earth now that has not been touched by the word of God, maybe not complete understand but definitely a knowledge of.

Everyone has their own beliefs and it's not always Christianity. If the person on that island is an honest to God good person, why would he be trapped in hell just because he doesn't know about Christianity?

There is no Christian "mythology". It is a belief system. And, you are incorrect that if one does not accept Chirst that he will be trapped in hell forever. Most Christians these days accept the fact that there are many religions in the world with different Higher Powers. The important thing is that one lead a good life.

If a person truly never hear the word by mouth, radio, TV or written word then they would go to Heaven. They would be like a young child who didn't understand. But now days, every inch of the world gets information so people should no longer fill that gap.
