Stress can cause high blood pressure and high blood pressure can damage the tiny veins in your nose so it is quite possible that the two are linked.Try checking with your doctor and have him check your blood pressure to ensure no underlying problems.

A dry membrane in your nose can cause the little blood vessels in your nose to rupture. Hence the blood. Try putting some vaseline up your nose at night...just a smidgen in each nostril just enough to lightly cover the membrane. Try turning down the heat in the bedroom and also change your pillows case more often as dust mites can linger in them. And these can cause an allergy.

If you do not see any improvement ask your doctor for an allgery spray for your nose. And try and relax as stress can up the blood pressure and cause the littleblood vessles to rupture. Not that it is life threatening but is can be uncomfortable as you will always be wanting to clean your nose and this starts the cycle all over again because cleaning can damage those tiny blood vessels.

Stress might be at the root of your problems, but usually blood in nasal mucous is caused by injuries to the membrane in the nose, normally caused by excessive nose-picking.

Try to refrain from picking your nose because this will cause injuries and expose blood vessels. Try using an emolient antiseptic cream like Savlon.

Good luck.
Cheers.

Nose bleeds are actually caused by the dryness in your nose. Your nose is filled with little veins and if it's dry enough, they can burst causing a nose bleed.
