I think the Labradoodles are such a lovely breed. They are Labradors bred with poodles. They have the temperament of the labrador which is so gentle and the hair of the poodle which does not malt. The best of both worlds. My friend has one and it is absolutely gorgeous and well sought after.

Can't go wrong with another Labrador, surely... but greyhounds, mostly, have a good temperament, and are pretty peaceful... and so many get abandoned after their racing careers are finished that it seems a good choice... you can feel good for helping a dog in need... actually, that's a point- go for any rescue dog, take the chance to do something positive, and maybe put a stop to your own misfortune...

I have a bearded collie who is very friendly and bouncy, and needs loooaads of exercise. But if you let your last dog run away, perhaps you are not ready for the responsibility of looking after another dog. Perhaps you would be better suited to a goldfish!!

Tibetan Mastiff (see description below for reason) I want one of these - if I ever get my yard fixed so that I can fence it!!
The Tibetan Mastiff has been used primarily as a family and property guardian for many millennia, and is aloof and watchful of strangers, and highly protective of its people and property.

Mine is a "Rhodesian Ridgeback" because they are very good natured animal, and are extremely loyal to there owner, but they are a large dog and will need plenty of exercise. Hope you are lucky in your choice.
