the temp gauge only gets above cold when its warm outside well above 40 degrees and it blows warm heat. anything below that and it wont break above cold and blows cold air. anifreeze is ok, havent checked mixture but im sure thats not it..any ideas?

Thermostat is stuck open.
They cost about ten buck, and are fairly easy to replace.
It's located under the thermostat housing on the engine where the upper radiator hose is connected.

Drain the coolant to avoid a mess.
Remove the two bolts on the housing.
Scrape the old gasket off both the engine, and T-stat housing.
Replace T-stat. and gasket.
Reinstall housing.
Refill radiator, and check for leaks.

i agree with the man on top it is really cheap part but you might even find it cheaper at a junk yard.
