This morning, I took a bite of an apple I got at the store the other day. It tasted just fine, like a crisp fresh apple. I looked at it and saw it was brown on the inside, after one half to one inch from the surface. I cut it into four pieces, and the whole inner part is the same. It's not like it is bruised from any side. I won't taste any more of it, but it seems like the the brown part is not mushy...
It just seems really weird, so I am curious.

Sounds like it was rotting from the inside-out.

I have no Idea how they do that. But I have had them also that are bad inside and look perfect outside.
