If God made the Garden and placed Adam and Eve there directly and Satan was able to get in and corrupt God's perfect plan, how can we be certain that Satan wasn't able to corrupt the word of God being given to us when it wasn't done directly by God but went through the hands of men? Satan convinced Eve that God was wrong when he told them not to eat of the tree of Knowledge. What if he convinced one or more of the Bible's authors that they misunderstood something God had inspired them to write down thereby causing divisions among men over things God never intended...??

Well, mostly you know because Satan doesn't exist. Neither does God. The Bible is written by many people and borrows heavily from local myths of the time.

We all have to chose who we put our faith in.

2 Peter 1:20-21
20 Above all, here is what you must understand. No prophecy in Scripture ever came from a prophet's own understanding. 21 It never came simply because a prophet wanted it to. Instead, the Holy Spirit guided the prophets as they spoke. So prophecy comes from God.

[The difference is in the garden Adam and Eve were told what was allowed and what wasn't allowed and given freedom of choice.

God did not give man freedom to choose what would be written in the Bible and therefore Satans' influence was of no effect. God alone decided and than gave us freedom of choice to believe or not. So Satan can now effect the decision you make in the believing part.

That is a good question but the answer is this. Jesus Christ God in the form of human flesh gave the keys of the kingdom to Peter and set his Church upon Peter. Then he says these words and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it talking about the Church. Since the bible was written by those deciples that Jesus himself ordained the Bible was purly a work of God through the Church so even though it was written by men it was still infallible because the Gates of hell shall not prevail against what the Church has done. Plain and simple.

We don't. It is an interesting question. In fact, your question brings up a fact about the Bible many forget or dismiss. The Bible is man's INTERPRETATION of the Word of God. not only that, through many translations, the Bible is a bastardized translation of the original interpretation of the Word of God. So, I think it is quite possible Satan influenced the transcripts.

Satan HAS managed to corrupt the Bible. The corrupted version is referred to as "The New World Translation," and it's used exclusively by Jehovah's Witnesses. Also add the Koran; "The Pearl of Great Price," (used by Mormons); Kaballah (used by Jewish mystics), etc. Satan is the author of all false religion and false theology.

On the other hand, God clearly wished us to receive and follow writings made by His prophets. Surely God is powerful enough to ensure these writings exist in an intact form; if He wasn't powerful enough to do such a simple thing, then He wouldn't be the awsome God that we have been lead to believe.

One more thing: perhaps you've heard about the Dead Sea Scrolls, which confirm that virtually NO differences exist in the Old Testament from ancient writings pre-dating the birth of Christ. This is proof that we can trust mainstream translations of the Bible.

Furthermore, how did satan get there? Was he not a fallen angel? Why did god create man? Did angels have free will? if so what was the purpose of man? If not, how did they rebel if they had no free will. Why did god allow this to happen? If god created angels and satan was an angel, god created satan, and thus god created sin. God created that which tempts us, he sets us in a garden and says don't eat this fruit. Why create it in the first place? so we can prove our love? What kind of maniacal deity is he? We have to prove that we love him? is that because the angels he created couldn't even do it? what hope is there for us? I think god is not a good entity.

Here we go again.......because sunshine Hissing Sid had his head crushed by the heel of a woman and was in no fit state to corrupt the word of God (Who by the way is Jesus and who resisted the temptations of Satan when he spent 40 days in the desert). And they also had spell checkers in those days and as for the other anomalies in my argument Trust in the Lord.

I am in no way a Christian or beleive the stories in the bible however, i am a bible scholar beacause one cant deny the vast impact it has had on history. Satan didnt disrupt God's perfect plan, he tried to coerce Eve but God warned them first. God gave man the free will to beleive or not beleive whatever they want or to disobey him if they wanted. Of course (according to christianity itself) the bible has some skewed facts about gods intention for the religion. Many parts of the bible were left out due to Charlemagne's decision to create a singular church. priests from all over argued about wat books to put in and wat details to alter. Since humans are tainted, the people who wrote the bible put their own spin on everything. The basic things to know are what makes u a christian, beleiving jesus was the savior and that God is the one true god. suffering over minute details in the bible isnt wat the bible is about. just do what you think god wants and not what other people say that god wants because a lot of times, they are just interpreting it their way to get out of it what benefits them.

I think there are parts missing and it is quite obvious that there are incorrect statements and inconsistencies. I believe the books as written by the original authors were correct in their pure form and that through translations and trasmission (copying) errors were introduced. However, by and large it is a good book to read and can help a person recognize God's hand and works.

No, do not give so much credit for satan. The Bible is very reliable book. And Jesus would have corrected the OT if there was fault in it. When Jesus referred to the Scriptures He was talking about the OT.

Jesus really came here to make things simpler. Love one another. Serve only one God. I died for your sins. It is very simple really but people want to make it complicated.

When you love Lord and you accept His as Savior, you want to do good. And we are really expected to do good. But we are not going to be saved by deeds, only by the mercy and grace. That is that we would not boast. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

So you think us knowing what good and evil is was somehow a corrruption? Are you saying you'd rather go though life oblivious to what is good and evil? Would you not want to ever feel love just so you never have to feel hate?
What kind of God would make us have to choose between living forever and knowing what is good and evil? Why can't we have both?
After all just knowing good and evil DOES NOT give anyone a disposition towards either. It only means that we are capable of making a choice! OF HAVING FREEWILL!!
Since freewill comes as the result of knowledge of good and evil then the one responcibile for our freewill is SATAN!!!

HAIL SATAN!!
