I work in rescue, and get to name a lot of dogs. My last pup was Mia, and I plan on naming the next female Kenya. City or country names can be fun to use, as well as looking up words in the country your breed is native to. In this case, that is Canada/Newfoundland. Labs are great, I have a black lab named Shaq. Have fun!

go to www.babynames.com and you can search by meaning, country, gender, etc.
Sometimes a simple name in another language sounds beautiful to us. Plus you won't just have a cool name, but one that means something as well!
My wolf mix's name is Maverick, meaning "Wildly Independant". And boy does it fit!
