I look for stylish clothes. Something that would just look like a little boy if that makes sense. I love the overalls and what not, but I agree with the lady above with little jeans and button up shirts. I also love the graphic tee's for the little ones like the ones that imitate the Abercrombie and Fitch line it is too cute. I do the same I check for style first and then price.

my priorites in order:
Price - cause if the price is too high, nothing else matters
comfort
durability - not only that they last, but some clothes are made so that they "grow" with the child - this is great because kids grow really fast.
style - color, appealing design
It would be nice to find a line of clothing for little girls - preteen & teen that allows them to look feminine, and fashionable, but still keeps them covered &
comfortable. Too much Jr. Tart clothes out there.
Also, what happens to the boys is that after they grown out of the little boy sizes all the clothes are dark. Boys should have color too! Enough w/ the somber blacks, browns, grey, olive green & dark blue. Let's see some vibrant colors on those boys. Boys should be brightly packaged because they ram around so fast it would be nice to have a flash of color - a visual warning. Think of it as a public service - Ohh, flash of lime at 2:00! It's a 10 year old on a skate board!!

Stuff that comes out of the dryer looking good - I'm too tired to iron for myself, I'm not ironing a 3 yr-old's clothes.
I like primary colors because they are dark enough to hide spills but bright enough to seem kid-like. I'm really tired of only having shades of pink available for my girls. I also refuse to put my kids in black at ages 2 & 3.
More kids shirts should have elastic at the wrists. Kids grow fast and it's difficult to know what size to buy them sometimes. Elastic would help the shirts look and feel good even if they were a little big. Elastic around the neckline is also nice for girls shirts. It gives the shirts a different look and is also easy to get over the head.
My two year old has a hard time finding shirts to cover her tummy. She still has the big belly that small kids can have. I wish shirts were cut slightly longer.
I hate sayings on my kids clothes - "Cutie Pie", "Pretty Princess", etc. I don't mind some pictures but tend to avoid stuff with really cutesy animals.

These days much of children's clothing too closely emulates some of that for adults. Most parents would prefer a bit of modesty in their kid's clothing. Most mothers really don't want to be forced to buy low-rider jeans for their elementary school kids, but often that is all that is available. Also, most schools have requirements that don't permit anything that might be too controversial like gang colors, curse words, violent depictions, etc. The public school that my kids attend also has strict rules against showing the belly and requires cap-sleeves or longer - no spaghetti straps or tank tops.
Most parents also like some flexibility in sizing to accommodate the many shapes like having slims, plus sizes, or longs. Comfort is very important.
Most parents would also prefer less expensive clothing as children tend to outgrow stuff in only a few months.
Most of the little boys and girls that I know prefer things that are colorful with fun designs. Girls really like stuff with faux fur, sparkles, glitter or rhinestones and have cute animals or some of their favorite characters. Boys like cool graphic designs, sports references like skateboarding or football, characters like pirates or anime, and lots of pockets.
Inexpensive, comfortable and modest with lots of fun details would make for a pretty popular collection.
(I have 2 kids and volunteer at their school.)

properly, my daughter is purely turning a 365 days previous in Feb. yet i think of this concept works properly for all toddler elderly toddlers or maybe older youngsters. i got here upon some denims the different day that had adjustable waistbands! on the interior the denims interior the front there are pull-out elastic tabs with button holes, and you purely pull the two factors although tight you like and button them down! they are so superb, i've got spent lots funds on pants for her, and it became relieving to renowned that she would be ready to get plenty and many use out of those denims. They have been $13 a pair yet properly particularly worth it. i think of outfits that improve with them are a large concept. different than that, so a techniques as form and those issues pass, i purchase my daughter a large style of girly yet informal outfits. denims and t-shirts, youngsters play lots so outfits like which would be worn daily and are stable and you get your moneys worth. I even have got here upon her a large style of lovable shirts with issues like metallic screenprints and gildings, so even although they are purely t-shirts they nevertheless are lovable and you will costume them up or down (upload somewhat cropped cardigan or despite).

Something really cute and looks like "cool" clothing. They like to look like mommy or daddy.
Also quality is important, so they will last for more than one kid.
