No, Valentine's day is a way for corporations to make money. Nobody ever bought gifts for Valentine's day before companies like Hallmark started promoting it. And now, not only are you supposed to buy expensive things for your sweetheart, but you're also supposed to get cards for all your friends and family? Screw that. Don't buy me a valentine unless you're having sex with me. That's the rule.

Unless I screw something up, this will be my first valentines day with a girl (I'm 20). In highschool and stuff, I'd try to ignore it. In the school paper people could rent little boxes to put love notes in and stuff. Every year I would look for a note for me, but I never found one.

No if your single it's probably because you want to be. Valentines day is that one day out of the year you can let the ones that you love no it. Your mom, dad, children or just a friend.

Gah it annoys the crap out of us couplehood people too, a day where we are forced to buy some cheesy sentimental trinket to show our feelings. Being forced by some arbitrary holiday to pay way too much for a nice dinner out and a box of chocolate.

Valentines day was supposed to be the day we remember the sacrifices our partners have made in the name of love.

Now it is about how many roses did you get/buy?

What I don't like about this day, is that many people need to have a day set aside to remind themselves that they are in love with someone.

Just another day to me.. and I'm even married... my husband usually forgets and I just given up.. I usually did the whole nice dinner and gotten him a card or something.. But now, I put no effort into it anymore really... it was a special holiday with his ex or something and it can't be that way with us.. soooo.. I just for-get-it. >>

Buy yourself a Hallmark card, candy, flowers and a pink stuffed rabbit. Pop open a bottle and champagne. Look in the mirror and say "Baby, you're the greatest!"

Valentines day is just another holiday so people can spend money. I am in a relationship, and still cant stand that day! Its so overrated!

Not really cuz single people get alot more gifts & valentines,
but it is however a pagan day that the pagans used to have
orgies & give gifts to fornicate with,ect.....
Just research it & look it up,you'll see!!!

February 14 is the day of couplehood propaganda. What I'm going to do is dress entirely in black and loudly voice my opinions of men in the hallway.
