today im going to get a physical caouse tommorow i have a surgury and if my test on drugs come out bad do they cancell my surgury?(please tell me)

i don't know if they cancel a surgery but my advice is be honest with your doctor. they've heard it all so they probably won't judge you, they just need to know what's up so they know how to handle things. it might just depend on what drugs we're talking about.

When they do a blood test for pre-surgery cases, they are not looking for drugs.........they are looking for what your white/red cell counts are, infection in blood, plasma levels etc. In order to look for drugs the doctor would need to tell the lab the specific drugs(amphetimines or whatever)to look for. I would not think that surgery would be cancelled, unless you are under the influence when you show up for surgery, and frankly, that would be just plain stupid.

no they wont unless the drugs you have done thin your blood so you are supposed to avoid drinking alcohol, aspirin, and Valium or muscle relaxers.
